My mission as an Encourager is to empower and inspire everyone to live a life that is authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with their values and principles. I believe that everyone has the potential to create positive change in their lives and their social engagements. With words of encouragement, I am here to help you on your journey towards personal growth and transformation.
Sharyn Morwood
Embarking on the journey of growing our personal foundation of values and principles is akin to tending to the roots of a mighty tree that stands tall amidst life's storms. It's a courageous endeavour that allows us to anchor ourselves firmly in what truly matters, even as the winds of change blow around us.
As we nurture these values and principles, we cultivate a strong sense of identity and integrity that guides our actions and decisions with clarity and purpose. With each reflection and introspection, we deepen our understanding of who we are and what we stand for, fostering inner strength and resilience.
So let us embrace this journey wholeheartedly, knowing that as our personal foundation grows stronger, so too does our capacity to navigate life's challenges with grace and authenticity.
Social engagement (also called involvement, interaction, or participation) refers to our interactions with others and our community.
In our journey towards personal growth and happiness, it is crucial to be aware of our social engagement's impact on our well-being. The relationships we forge and the people we surround ourselves with can greatly influence our mindset, emotions, and overall outlook on life.
Surrounding ourselves with like-minded, supportive individuals can uplift our spirits, boost our confidence, bring joy to our lives, and ultimately help us grow to be a better version of ourselves. However, it is not uncommon to encounter negativity within our social circles, which can harm our mental, emotional, and even physical health.
Maintaining a positive social circle is vital for our overall happiness and well-being. By identifying toxic friendships, recognising unhealthy dynamics, evaluating new connections, and addressing negativity, we can cultivate healthy and positive relationships.
I have created a Social Engagement Questionnaire which helps us to prioritise our social engagements into low, medium and high priority levels. From the findings of this questionnaire, there are suggestions on how to socialise with people who fall into these levels.
There is an e-book to help alongside this questionnaire which discusses what social engagement is, healthy and unhealthy relationships, how to identify toxic and negative behaviour and how to nurture healthy relationships.
